"Jeepers"

You know Daphne has gotten herself into trouble, when you hear this! Daphne is the first one to run into trouble in the Scooby Crew. But have you noticed how calm and composed she always is? Hmm…Let’s understand her the Belbin way!

According to Belbin, every person in a Team contributes through their own preference of Team Roles..  clusters of  behaviour, that reflect a tendency to contribute to the team in a particular way.  There are 9 Belbin Team Roles.

We have seen Scooby, Shaggy, Velma and Fred’s top two Team Roles. Last but not the least in this team of equals, here’s an insight into Daphne Blake!

How does Daphne Blake contribute to this awesome team?

Daphne is the epitome of charm and grace! She is a Belbin Coordinator and Resource Investigator

Coordinator(CO)- Mature, confident, identifies talent and delegates effectively

Resource Investigator (RI) – Communicative, outgoing, enthusiastic

Daphne can sweet talk her way into anything! She is charming and resourceful. She easily gets along with most people (including ghosts) and makes contacts wherever she goes.

Daphne is the Queen of delegation. She, very efficiently identifies talent. She knows who’s good at what. She knows who can do what work. She is always aware of the broader picture in mind. If the team gets distracted by delicious food or creepy castles, she reminds the team of the common goal – to catch every villain in town.

Daphne’s as cool as a cucumber. Her fashionable demeanour and charm can even give ghosts seconds thoughts! We all need a Daphne in our team, don’t you agree?

Without delegation, people would feel lost, confused and directionless. The team members would not use their full potential. They’d probably be stuck in roles they don’t enjoy. Coordinators give direction to teams.

Now that we’ve seen all the members of Team Scooby Doo, there’s no doubt that they make one of the greatest, high – performing teams ever!

Let’s give a shout out to this wonderful team who made our childhoods all the more colourful!
